Travel Boom: Ryanair Flies 18 Million Passengers in July for the First Time

In a sign of the ongoing boom in leisure travel, Ryanair’s monthly traffic topped 18 million passengers for the first time ever in July. The airline reports that it carried 18.7 million passengers during the month, with a load factor of 96 percent.

This topped the 16.8 million passengers the airline flew in July 2022 and represents an 11 percent increase in traffic for the month as travelers flocked to vacation destinations.

Ryanair carried 175.3 million passengers in total through the first seven months of the year, a 23 percent increase over the 142 million passengers it carried during the same period last year. The airline’s average load factor during these periods also increased, from 84 percent in January-July 2022 to 94 percent this year.
