On July 21st, BETA Technologies and the Ohio-based specialist contractor Hartzell Propeller announced the successful attainment of FAA Part 35 Type Certification for Hartzell’s new propeller product designed exclusively for AAM platforms. The five-bladed, carbon fiber propeller has been integrated on, and extensively flight tested with, the electric propulsion system of BETA’s flagship Alia eVTOL/CTOL platform.
