Fresh off of its advancing efforts to bring final VX4 prototype production to realization and lay the foundations for a coming corporate transition towards serial-manufacture and commercialization, United Kingdom-based UAM startup Vertical Aerospace has announced a new partnership with British electric propulsion provider Evolito.
Vertical will tap Evolito to provide electric propulsion units (EPU) for the Valo, the company’s planned commercial eVTOL platform and the developmental successor to the VX4. The Valo will feature eight electrically powered propellers, with the front four configured for tilt-shift capability. Vertical envisions the Valo as achieving certification in 2028.
